Girls Generation, one of the more popular groups in an already popular genre, is losing member Jessica Jung. Jung was a leading vocalist in the group and is leaving because of what WSJ calls "disagreements over her business activities in fashion."
Apparently, she had already announced her retirement from the group earlier this year and founded Blanc Group, a fashion business.

Due to the strict hold Korean agencies have on their pop stars, her retirement without the consent of her agency caused big problems. While Jung was still signed under the agency (SM Entertainment) when she made the public decision to leave, the agency dumped her because she had not cleared her announcement with them. Jung said she was "devastated" and felt she has been pushed out for "no justifiable reason."
